Dick Taylor 55% Milk – Quinoa Crunch Review

This permanent addition to Dick Taylor’s range began life as a microbatch bar that proved popular enough to stick around. It pairs 55% milk chocolate — made with Alexandre Family Farm A2/A2 whole milk and Ugandan cacao — with crisp quinoa puffs and a finishing touch of sea salt.

There’s an appealing salted-caramel quality to the chocolate, with the vanilla-forward milk base giving it a rounded, comforting sweetness rather than anything sharp or overly sugary. The quinoa puffs promise real textural interest here — a lighter, crisper crunch than the more common rice or wafer inclusions, adding contrast against the smooth, creamy base without weighing the bar down.

The A2/A2 milk is a distinctive choice worth noting — sourced specifically for its digestibility and, its flavour, which translates to a cleaner, less heavy dairy character than a standard milk bar. There’s a genuinely crumbly quality to quinoa as an inclusion that sets it apart from the usual crunchy additions on the market.

A well-considered, comforting milk chocolate bar that pairs an unusual, better-sourced dairy base with a genuinely interesting textural inclusion.
