LAND Chocolate 85% Dark – Tanzania Review

Made with just three ingredients — Kokoa Kamili beans from Tanzania’s Kilombero Valley, organic cane sugar, and cocoa butter — this bar lets the cacao do all the talking, and it delivers.

It opens with soft floral notes that build into a bright, persistent apricot character as it melts. A gentle acidity keeps things fresh without tipping into sourness, and there’s just enough sweetness to soften the edges of the 85% cocoa content. Bitterness and astringency stay well in check, so the fruit stays front and centre even as nutty, earthy notes creep in toward the finish.

The texture is smooth and lingering, with a long finish that moves from fruit to deep cocoa and hazelnut. It’s an excellent match for a lightly roasted single-origin coffee, and one of the more complex 85% bars I’ve tried.
