This 70% bar promises a millionaire’s shortbread inclusion, but the execution falls short of the concept. The base chocolate has a decent cacao character and melts smoothly, if a touch grainy at times, but there’s no cacao aroma to speak of, and the shortbread element is difficult to detect at all.
The caramel pieces are a nice visual touch — chunky inclusions aren’t something you see often on a tablet — but the flavour doesn’t quite land, coming across as mildly sweet and chewy rather than genuinely caramel or dairy-rich. The bigger issue is proportion: the caramel-to-chocolate ratio means most bites miss the inclusion entirely.
An interesting idea that doesn’t fully deliver on its concept. The base chocolate is solid, but the millionaire’s shortbread character promised on the label doesn’t come through with much conviction.
