Despite the relatively high cocoa content for a milk chocolate, it never loses that comforting creaminess — the extra intensity simply adds depth rather than pushing it towards dark chocolate territory.
The rye crumbs are generous and genuinely transformative, bringing a nutty crunch along with savoury hints of malt and hops that set this apart from a straightforward salted milk bar. A touch of sea salt rounds things off at the finish, sharpening the sweetness without overpowering it. The aftertaste lingers with a buttery, mildly nutty character carried through from the rye bread.
Compared to other Pump Street bars, this one feels more intense and a touch more serious — less of an easy, casual eat and more of a considered, layered bar.
